Someone has said if Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available
through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know that during World War II there was an adviser
to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one minute
to collectively pray for the safety of England , its people and peace?
There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America . If you would like
to participate: Every evening at 9:00 pm Eastern Time (8:00 PM
Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of
the United States , our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation. If you know anyone else who would like
to participate, please pass this along.
Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.
PLEASE FORWARD TO YOUR BELIEVING FRIENDS!
"The last hope of human liberty in this world rests on us" - Thomas Jefferson
"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government,
our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.-"Samuel Adams, 1776

THE U IN JESUS
Before
U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His Upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."
So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know, But it all starts with U.

Great Story Out of Iowa Sent in by Rocky Blankenship...Tulsa, Ok

ONE OF THE BEST STORIES I'VE EVER HEARD!
As she stood in front of her 5th
grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked
at her students and said that she loved them all the same. However, that was impossible, because there in the
front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.
Mrs. Thompson had watched
Teddy the year before and noticed that he did not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy
and that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson
would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then putting a big
'F' at the top of his papers .
At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to
review each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was
in for a surprise.
Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh.
He does his work neatly and has good manners... He is a joy to be around..'
His second grade teacher wrote,
'Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal
illness and life at home must be a struggle.'
His third grade teacher wrote, 'His mother's death has
been hard on him. He tries to do his best, but his father doesn't show much interest, and his home life will soon
affect him if some steps aren't taken..'
Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is withdrawn and
doesn't show much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and he sometimes sleeps in class.'
By
now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when her students
brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for Teddy's. His present
was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag. Mrs. Thompson took pains to open
it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet
with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one-quarter full of perfume.. But she stifled the children's
laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her
wrist. Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, 'Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled
just like my Mom used to.'
After the children left, she cried for at least an hour. On that very
day, she quit teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Instead, she began to teach children. Mrs. Thompson paid
particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged
him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class
and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one of her 'teacher's pets..'
A
year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that she was the best teacher he ever had
in his whole life.
Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he
had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in life.
Four
years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school,
had stuck with it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honors. He assured Mrs. Thompson that
she was still the best and favorite teacher he had ever had in his whole life.
Then four more years
passed and yet another letter came. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided
to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had. But
now his name was a little longer.... The letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, MD.
The story
does not end there. You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he had met this girl and was
going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs.
Thompson might agree to sit at the wedding in the place that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom.
Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing.
Moreover, she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas
together.
They hugged each other, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's ear, 'Thank you Mrs.
Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make
a difference.'
Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back.. She said, 'Teddy, you
have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until
I met you.'
(For you that don't know, Teddy Stoddard is the Dr at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines that
has the Stoddard Cancer Wing.) Random acts of kindness, I think they call it!

Perspective One day , the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to
the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm
of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip , the father asked his son , "How was the trip?"
"It was great , Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah , " said the son.
"So , tell me , what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the
middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars
at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live
on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but
they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are." Isn't perspective a wonderful
thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we
don't have. Appreciate every single thing you have , especially your friends!
"Life is too short and friends are too few.." Some people come into our lives
and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same Many people
will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

Cell phone vs. the Bible
I felt a little conviction just reading the title of this one!
Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we flipped through it several
times a day? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What
if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? What if we gave it to Kids as gifts? What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go.....hmm......where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?' And no dropped calls.
